7days Performance, a leading UK Performance Car Raffle, is seeking a Senior Symfony / PHP Developer to join their dynamic team. This role presents a unique opportunity to work on a proprietary technology platform, whilst utilizing a customer-centric approach to drive the growth of the industry-leading raffle site. The successful candidate will work closely with the development team to build, test and deploy digital solutions across web and mobile platforms. Responsibilities

  • Implement software solutions using Symfony
  • Ensure all code is thoroughly tested and meets development criteria
  • Identify and address technical debt in the codebase
  • Maintain and enhance the proprietary technology platform
  • Work as part of a team to deliver digital solutions across web and mobile platforms
  • Translate high-level requirements into executable software designs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage priorities and timelines

Requirements
  • Proven, in depth experience working with Symfony / PHP for at least the last 3-5 years is an absolute must, anyone with less will be disqualified automatically
  • Strong knowledge of OOP, design patterns and SOLID principles
  • Experience with MySQL or similar relational databases
  • Familiarity with Git, HTML, CSS and experience with code versioning
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with Scrum / Agile software development methodology is a plus
  • knowledge of Debian is required in order to work on the project
  • basic experience with AWS (EC2, Load Balancers)
