As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will focus on driving Redis’s Data Platform capabilities in the market beyond caching. Over the past few years, Redis has introduced capabilities such as Vector Search, Streams, Query and Search, JSON storage and Time Series. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, including LLMs and GenAI, positioning Redis as the fastest Vector database while also promoting its other database strengths. More than just an SME, you'll serve as a strategic advisor to seasoned veterans in the industry and DBAs, providing solutions that go beyond traditional data storage and retrieval.

As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will educate and collaborate with customers to create customized Redis powered solutions for their specific business and database needs, helping them increase business value and overcome challenges. You will drive proof of concept (POCs), pilots and evaluations, working hands-on with our customers using one of the best technologies in the market.

What you’ll do: 

  • Work closely with customers as a Redis SME, including core caching and Redis's newer features beyond caching, particularly JSON and Search. This includes discovery, qualification, demos, proofs of value, sizing, and presentations.
  • Design systems, applications, and infrastructure that leverage Redis's capabilities.
  • Advise customers on optimal architectures, patterns, and strategies for Redis usage.
  • Clearly articulate the business and technical value of Redis to technical and executive audiences.
  • Align with sales teams to conduct technical discovery, demos, and proofs of value, handling multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into understandable business benefits for decision-makers.
  • Act as a liaison to relay critical customer feedback to Product Management.
  • Generate demand by participating in industry trade-shows and account-based marketing events.
  • Show resilience and sound judgment in tackling business challenges.
  • Proactively collaborate with other Solution Architect team members, sharing best practices and standard methodologies.


What will you need to have? 

  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise pre-sales engineering
  • Experience with server side programming frameworks and languages such as Java, Python or C#
  • Experience with scalable distributed databases
  • A team player with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.


Extra great if you have:

  • Degree in computer science or engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Public cloud solution architect, developer, or specialty certification

The estimated gross base annual salary range for this role is $127,260 – $224,250  per year in New York, California, Washington, Colorado, and Rhode Island. Actual compensation may vary and is dependent on various factors, including a candidate’s work location, qualifications, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of Redis’ total compensation and competitive benefits package, which may include 401(k), unlimited time off, learning and development opportunities, and comprehensive health and wellness benefits. This role may include discretionary bonuses, stock options, commuter benefits based on location, or a commission plan. Salary history is not used in compensation package decisions. Redis utilizes market pay data to determine compensation, so posted compensation ranges are subject to change as new market data becomes available.
