Job Description

XSELL is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer. As a member of our XSELL Engineering team, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate around solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. We're currently seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to be a key member of our development team. We're looking for someone with experience transforming monolith architectures by designing, implementing, and deploying microservice applications in a hybrid cloud environment. In this role, you will be working closely with management and technical leaders to execute and deliver IT roadmap requirements related to delivering new and existing services on the XSELL platform. This role will work within the Agile framework of continuous delivery. A successful team member will not only possess the advanced technical skills required to bring innovative solutions to complex problems, but they will also use their passion to work collaboratively and participate in nurturing the growth of fellow developers.

What You Will Bring

  • BS/BA in Computer Science or a related degree
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • 2+ years of developing cloud native applications
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Experience architecting and building microservices
  • Experience with third-party APIs and Web Services, API Gateways
  • RESTful/GraphQL design and development experience
  • Experience working on cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure)
  • Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture
  • Ability to drive and lead the development of a product or large project
  • Ability to create project specs and identify roadblocks before writing code
  • Drive to set coding standards and create repeatable processes

Ways You Will Contribute
  • Design and implement full stack applications/services running in AWS and Azure
  • Work closely with product managers and data scientists to design implement, and test highly scalable automated solutions
  • Participate in architecture and design efforts with technology team members
  • Participate in code and design reviews with your peers
  • Mentor junior engineers to develop quality code and build fault-tolerant, scalable, secure solutions
  • Automate deployment processes and provide adequate test coverage by utilizing testing frameworks
