Job Description

The Research and Advisory SBU has a strong focus on growing our footprint across several key workflows including investment banking, sell-side research, buy-side research, private equity, capital markets, investor relations, and media. This SBU contains Core Applications (Wealth, Screening, Company & Security Analytics, Industry and Markets, Filings, Ownership, Research, News, Charting and Calendar) and our industry leading Research Management Solutions suite. Across all of these products, there is a growing need and expectation of clients for the functionality and value of our products to be fully integrated into the other applications/systems that they heavily use (ex. Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, etc.) Supporting seamless client workflows between their many systems and environments is critical to our company goal of sharing intelligence how, where and when our clients want it. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Research Integrations team and contribute to developing the infrastructure needed in the Research and Advisory SBU to support and standardize how our reports and applications interact in these different, integrated environments. Responsibilities: Build infrastructure and influence standards around how research reports and applications interact/ behave differently in differing environments/containers (ex: Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) Leverage FactSet APIs to develop solutions for integration into CRM platforms Collaborate and coordinate with Product Development and other engineers to resolve unique challenges Design and develop codebase using the latest web technologies Think and communicate critically about architecture, design, and best practices Maintain code stability by writing unit tests and participate in online and offline code reviews Create Proof-Of-Concepts to prove out new ideas Minimum Requirements: 5+ Years' experience with Vue.js or other JavaScript Frameworks (React, Angular) 5+ Years' experience with Node.js or other server-side technologies Experience using Agile development processes (Scrum, Kanban) Critical Skills: Ability to learn and apply internal systems and processes for developing and deploying software Ability to work as part of a geographically diverse team Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills Strong problem-solving skills Desired Skills: Familiarity with Salesforce (Lightning Framework, Apex) and Microsoft Dynamics Experience integrating systems using APIs Experience with Mobile development Education: B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent training The budgeted amount range for this position in the State of Connecticut is $106,400-$162,000.
