If you are driving on a highway in North America, there is a good chance that Infotech software was used to build it. We support all aspects of road construction from managing bids to secure document signing to cost estimation and inspection. In addition to your ability to deliver well-baked, bug-free code, you possess one or more major skills outside of programming (monitoring, performance optimization, documentation, integration testing, visual design, etc.). You understand the larger business your code supports and possess superior execution skills. As a model for Infotech development standards and best practices, you provide support and guidance to your colleagues and new developers.At Infotech, we work hard to ensure that we keep our engineers focused on what they do best...coding! Last but not least, you will be provided with a dual screen MacBook Pro workstation.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, and 2 years' relevant experience.Preferred Qualifications5 years' experience with front and back-end software development languages and frameworks.At least one major skill outside of programming such as monitoring, performance optimization, documentation, integration testing, or visual design.Past experience serving as a tech lead/mentor and/or experience guiding developers through technical projects/tasks.Technical SkillsWe are currently looking for developers skilled in Ruby on Rails, Python and JavaScript/Node.js and we are hosted on AWS; however, we know the best engineers can pick up new tech quickly when needed, so don't be deterred if you don't have every item on the list below!Languages: Ruby, Python and JavaScript;Frameworks: Ruby on Rails, Vue.js or React;Cloud Platforms: AWS or any experience with cloud providers (Azure or Google (GCP));Source control management: Git;Front-end: JSON, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Web Components;Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB or MongoDB.LocationInfotech is located in Gainesville, Florida.
