What are we looking for?

Intertek Wisetail is looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer (Remote) to join the DevOps Team. The ideal Senior Software Developer will be involved in the entire software development process to ensure the quality of the final product. The successful candidate will possess personal characteristics and career experience that demonstrates a combination of technical and analytical skills, the ability to use data and statistics to drive operational improvement, a desire to mentor and develop others, and a relentless determination to enhance the user experience for customers by ensuring quality products are delivered.

What will you do:
  • Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments
  • Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability
  • Scheduling, launching, and control of performance/compliance of all Quality Assurance activities within an Agile environment
  • Maintain a mindset of a continuous quality improvement by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in tools, training, process, reporting, and employee engagement
  • Create, write and execute test plans/cases for automated and manual and tests.
  • Create and maintain a suite of standard test data sets for input into test cases
  • Drive operational excellence by focusing on continuous improvement efforts
  • Partner with cross functional teams within the organization to innovate and evolve our product quality and features
  • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
  • Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability
  • Coordinate user or third party testing
  • Conduct historical analyses of test results
  • Provide technical support during software installation or configuration
  • Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks
  • Update automated test scripts to ensure concurrency

What you bring to the table:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) (preferred) or 4+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Software Quality Assurance with at least 3 years of demonstrable test automation experience
  • Knowledge and experience with test automation tools such as Jasmine, Selenium, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of defect tracking software, and SQL Databases
  • Experience with HTML5, MVC, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks, such as jQuery, Node, and Angular
  • Ability to develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to include review of software documentation for technical accuracy, compliance or completeness
  • Agile Methodologies and Quality Assurance's role/responsibilities within it
  • Experience with Agile (Scrum) preferred
