ICEYE is building and operating its commercial constellation of small Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites with SAR data available to customers. Our satellites acquire images of Earth at any time – even when it’s cloudy or dark – providing commercial and government partners with unmatched persistent monitoring capabilities. Information derived from our SAR images helps customers make data-driven decisions to address time-critical challenges in various sectors, such as maritime, disaster management, insurance, and finance.

What will you do in this role?

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sales efforts by leveraging your strong engineering background to collaborate closely with the sales team. You will be responsible for responding to requests for quotations (RFQs), proactively contributing to unsolicited bids, and representing our technical and product teams in customer interactions.

Your responsibilities will consist of:

  • Sales Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the sales team to engage potential customers
    • Leverage your engineering background to provide in-depth technical knowledge during customer interactions.
    • Provide guidance and support to the sales team throughout the sales cycle, ensuring they have the necessary technical resources and information.
    • Develop sales collateral, technical documentation, and other materials to aid in sales presentations.

  • Customer Presentations:
    • Represent the technical and product teams in front of customers, delivering compelling presentations that showcase our solutions and address customer concerns.

  • Bids and proposals:
    • Responding to request for quotations (RFQs)
    • Contributing to unsolicited bids to enhance business opportunities

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate closely with technical and product teams to stay abreast of product roadmaps, features, and updates.
    • Gather necessary information from internal teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive responses to customer inquiries.


Within this role there are a number of key requirements, which are below. In addition this role requires the post-holder to be comfortable and wiling to be directly involved in the entire process, this is very much a hands on role.


    • Proven experience in a sales engineering or technical pre-sales role, demonstrating a successful track record.
    • Strong understanding of engineering principles with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Familiarity with relevant technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscapes: background can be in information technology, complex systems etc.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
    • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing customer needs and market dynamics.
    • Proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
    • A background in Aerospace
