As Senior Product Management, you will be responsible for owning the long-term vision of a digital experience, while at the same time managing both the day-to-day of existing products and the various go-to-market initiatives of soon to be released products and services. While this role is not directly technical, a strong understanding of how products work and a clear vision for their interdependencies within our ecosystem is an absolute necessity.

This exciting career is the ultimate owner or stakeholder for a particular experience, and, as such, have authority to make decisions about product functionality, market need, end user experience, etc. You will work closely with the Product Development team, the overall business (including key leadership stakeholders), clients, and the development team to ensure that the experiences that we are crafting align with the overall roadmap. You will also be asked to capture and synthesize the voice of the customer - which includes both Providers as well as internal users/stakeholders who are affected by the decisions made in this process.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Management and sunsetting of new, existing, or acquisition products and product lines
  • Creation of a strategic vision to translate real-world provider problems into engaging products and services
  • Own relationship with Functional Area SMEs, sharing vision and insights
  • Drive business work within the Agile process, sharing Business vision
  • Define and prioritize Features that will be groomed and developed by Product Development
  • Own the product at a Feature level, using Roadmap and Capabilities as a guide
  • Create, manage, and prioritize Capability Acceptance Criteria
  • Work closely with Digital Development, Finance and Business Teams to forecast and attack product-line investments
  • Lead Product Owners and teams to ensure user story alignment across multiple agile teams
  • Lead enterprise-cross functional teams to support go-to-market strategies and initiatives
  • Develop, maintain, and evangelize product-line value proposition
  • Forecast revenue or savings opportunities associated with product development initiatives
  • Influence innovation across teams to ensure aligned; cohesive progress across multiple areas including technology, marketing, experience, and service operation
  • Work closely with Provider Marketing and Provider NPS group to ensure consistent tone, tenor and style as we work to ease friction and build the best provider experience in the world

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of product management/product development/strategy management in an organization delivering software in a Web/SaaS environment
  • 2 + years of Healthcare experience
  • 2 + years of experience achieving goals in a matrixed environment
  • 2 + years of Agile experience
  • 2 + years of demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and influence others
  • 2 + years of demonstrated Mastery of product lifecycle process and experience working with agile software delivery tools (CA Agile, Jira, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with P&L in a highly matrixed organization

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $94,500 to $171,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
