Job Description

What you'll achieve:

Join us as a Senior Principle Product Development Engineer on our PowerEdge NVMe over TCP Solutions engineering team in Round Rock, TX to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact !

In this high-visibility position, you will be responsible for serving as a NVMe/TCP Solutions Development Engineer delivering Enterprise level multi-product solutions on a regular cadence. You will run the Solution Engineering effort driving and delivering products and features to our larger NVMe/TCP roadmap. Your role will require collaboration with Enterprise Storage engineering teams, PowerEdge engineering teams, PowerSwitch networking engineering teams, marketing teams, and other internal teams all with the goal of taking to market a complex solution with a customer first approach. This is a fast pace role that will expose you to multiple differentiated products and other industry leading technology. You will participate and drive various aspects of the product development lifecycle delivering to a portfolio roadmap while keeping the customer perspective and goals at the forefront of the Solution deliveries.

You will:
  • Drive the multi-product (Servers, Storage and Networking) NVMe/TCP solution deliverables accountable to the core team and leadership.
  • Establish and maintain a customer focused culture and deliverables.
  • Lead weekly coordination meetings of functional extended teams.
  • Ensure consistent communication of project status and risks.
  • Create and or maintain cross-functional engineering development schedules.
  • Plan, allocate, budget, and manage platform materials (e. g. prototypes, peripherals).

Essential Requirements:
  • Strong background of product development in the Enterprise Server, Storage or Networking Industry with a track record of delivery.
  • Knowledge of enterprise server, storage and networking architecture and enterprise technology.
  • Customer first design and delivery approach.
  • Strong understanding of product development life cycle.
  • Ability to thrive in a self-directed environment.
  • Proven ability to work with global extended teams.

Desirable Requirements:
  • Clear communication skills both oral and written.
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Dell Engineering Development Process.
  • Persuasive communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
  • MSEE, BSEE, BSCE, or MSCS preferred with at least 8 years of experience.
