Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior PHP Engineer with a proven track record of excellent problem solving capabilities and a strong background in designing, testing, and refactoring legacy code. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with PHP and be adept at simplifying complex systems, ensuring high performance, and maintaining robust, clean, and efficient codebases.
\n- Problem Solving: Tackle complex problems with innovative solutions, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Design and Development: Architect, develop, and maintain high-quality PHP applications, ensuring robust, efficient, and clean code.
- Unit Testing: Develop and execute comprehensive unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Legacy Code Refactoring: Analyze, refactor, and optimize legacy code to enhance performance, readability, and maintainability.
- Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and efficient problem-solving approaches.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for new features, code changes, and system architecture.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and proactively implement improvements.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficient in PHP, with a deep understanding of its frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony).
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
- Strong experience in designing and implementing unit tests.
- Expertise in refactoring legacy code and simplifying complex systems.
- Solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Experience with other programming languages and technologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Preferred previous experience with HL7 and FHIR
- Excellent analytical skills
