About the role:

As the Senior People Partner for G&A functions, you’ll be more than a traditional HR Business Partner—you'll play a strategic role in shaping the teams that underpin Samsara's continued global growth. You will be a trusted advisor, proactively partnering with senior leaders across Finance, Legal, People Operations, and other critical G&A teams, ensuring organizational effectiveness and fostering a high-performance culture as we scale.

In this senior individual contributor role, you’ll collaborate closely with executive leadership to design teams that combine agility with operational excellence, enabling Samsara to move quickly and maintain discipline in execution. You'll shape talent strategies, enhance leadership effectiveness, and support our culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

This is a remote position open to candidates residing in Canada.

You should apply if:

  • You want to impact the industries that run our world: Your efforts will result in real-world impact—helping to keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, reduce emissions, and most importantly, ensure workers return home safely.
  • You are the architect of your own career: If you put in the work, this role won’t be your last at Samsara. We set up our employees for success and have built a culture that encourages rapid career development, countless opportunities to experiment, and mastery of your craft in a hyper-growth environment.
  • You’re energized by our opportunity: The vision we have to digitize large sectors of the global economy requires your full focus and best efforts to bring forth creative, ambitious ideas for our customers.
  • You want to be with the best: At Samsara, we win together, celebrate together, and support each other. You will be surrounded by a high-calibre team that will encourage you to do your best.

In this role, you will:

  • Proactively design and optimize organizational structures that support agility, innovation, and scalable growth, balancing speed with execution discipline.
  • Anticipate talent needs, shaping strategies to attract, retain, and develop top-tier talent to drive sustained high performance.

High-Performance Culture and Leadership Development

  • Champion Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team), embedding these into the daily experience of teams.
  • Implement leadership development and coaching programs that enhance management effectiveness, build strong succession plans, and support career growth across G&A teams.
  • Foster an environment of continuous feedback, accountability, and empowerment to enable employees to reach their fullest potential.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Leverage people analytics to provide actionable insights to senior leaders, guiding strategic decisions related to talent, organization design, and performance management.
  • Use data-driven approaches to proactively address challenges related to retention, engagement, and team effectiveness, ensuring sustained organizational health.
  • Continuously measure and improve how organizational structures impact business performance and employee experience.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 8+ years of strategic HR business partnering experience, ideally supporting G&A functions in high-growth, global, or matrixed organizations.
  • Proven ability to influence and build trust with senior executives, navigating complex organizational dynamics with confidence and clarity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in organizational design, leadership development, performance management, diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, and talent management strategies.
  • Experience utilizing data and analytics to drive informed decisions and strategic organizational improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving, consulting, conflict resolution, and facilitation skills.
  • Highly adaptable, with a proven track record of thriving in fast-paced, rapidly evolving environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work remotely while maintaining strong visibility and influence.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to Samsara offices or events as required.
