What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will lead a global team responsible for developing, administering, and enhancing Amgens cybersecurity metrics and analytics platform which provides strategic, operational, and tactical reporting for internal and external stakeholders. You will manage services, solutions and employees in a manner directly aligned with Amgens culture, principles, and core values.

The Senior Manager will contribute to and deliver services and solutions that support the mission, priorities, and objectives of Amgens Global Information Protection (GIP) team. You will:

  • Develop strategy and continuous improvement for GIPs Security Metrics & Analytics Program in accordance with industry frameworks
  • Prioritize the backlog of innovative solutions to assist in identifying and managing information security risks across the organization
  • Lead day to day operations and people management of the Security Metrics & Analytics team
  • Ensure compliance and process consistency to achieve operational objectives
  • Provide direction and guidance for direct reports by establishing and maintaining comprehensive professional development plans
  • Work closely with other security stakeholders to better understand opportunities and coordinate efforts
  • Ensure operational excellence of platforms and supporting technology
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the data engineers, service owners, system owners, and cross-functional leadership in various time zones to continuously improve insights and inform strategic direction

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Information Technology and/or Cybersecurity experience

Or

Masters degree and 6 years of Information Technology and/or Cybersecurity experience

Or

Bachelors degree and 8 years of Information Technology and/or Cybersecurity experience

Or

Associates degree and 10 years of Information Technology and/or Cybersecurity experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Technology and/or Cybersecurity experience

And

2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior personnel and service delivery management experience
  • Working experience in programming, CI/CD and Agile / DevOps environment
  • Excellent organization/planning skills and talent for managing many large and sophisticated solutions
  • Technical curiosity with strong logical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experienced in best-practice developer methodologies including documentation, version control, and code review
  • Must be team-oriented, placing priority on the successful completion of team goals
  • Practical Knowledge of Information Security standards and policies like ISO 27001/27002, NIST, and others
  • Preferred certifications: Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), SANS Global Information Assurance Certifications (GIAC)
