Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead the development, implementation, and governance of the organization’s Risk Appetite Framework. The role focuses on translating strategic objectives into measurable risk thresholds, enabling effective decision-making, and ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and enterprise risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Risk Appetite Framework
- Design, maintain, and enhance the enterprise Risk Appetite Framework (RAF)
- Define risk appetite statements, metrics, thresholds, and key risk indicators (KRIs)
- Portfolio Risk Oversight
- Monitor risk exposures across portfolios and ensure alignment with approved risk appetite
- Provide insights on trends, emerging risks, and potential breaches
- Risk Data & Analytics
- Leverage data to develop dashboards, reports, and forward-looking risk indicators
- Drive data quality, consistency, and governance for risk metrics
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with business units, risk teams, and senior leadership
- Present risk insights and appetite performance to senior management and committees
- Governance & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal policies
- Support audits, regulatory reviews, and internal risk assessments
- Continuous Improvement
- Enhance frameworks using industry best practices and analytics-driven approaches
- Drive automation and efficiency in risk reporting processes
Key Requirements
- 8–12 years of experience in Risk Management, preferably in Banking/Financial Services
- Strong understanding of Risk Appetite Frameworks and Enterprise Risk Management
- Experience in portfolio risk analytics, dashboards, and data-driven insights
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Knowledge of regulatory expectations (e.g., RBI / Basel guidelines)
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights
Preferred Skills
- Expertise in risk reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience with large datasets and risk data governance
- Strategic mindset with attention to detail
