Job Description

Senior Financial Analyst

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer of North America, the Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with senior management to increase efficiency and profitability of the organization by assisting with the formulation of both the medium and long-term financial plans. This role will have a high level of visibility in the organization as well as great variety supporting analysis, consolidated reporting, and internal controls across all North American Divisions. This company boasts a great history of stability and is poised for a strong 5 year growth push which will result in expanded involvement in accounting and finance moving forward.

Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist business unit leaders with developing annual budgets and forecasts for their area of responsibility
  • Produce financial models to project long term growth and determine the impacting business factors
  • Analyze financial and operational results to better understand company performance
  • Communicate to senior management the reasons behind the product/department performance and results
  • Review operations and recommend new productivity or cost savings initiatives
  • Prepare business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions
  • Assist with review of existing processes and procedures and develop recommendations for improvements
  • Evaluate previous budgets and expenditures to develop and implement future budgets
  • Provide insights surrounding financial modeling, forecasts and profitability
  • Prepare month end reporting package for each subsidiary
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions


Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience encompassing various accounting disciplines
  • Personal integrity and the ability to foster consensus, capable of promoting a strong and cooperative creative culture with excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong MS Excel skills, with the ability to work with data and generate reports
  • Experience with ERP software
