Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES A growing company in the Phoenix, AZ area is seeking a Senior Electronic Design Engineer. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this exclusive search assignment. Will work within the RD department and is responsible for architecturedesign, development, deployment, and maintenance of electrical and electronic hardware within the company's products. These products include internet-connected components as well as systems which consist of multiple mechanical electricalfirmware and software components which must work together seamlessly. This position requires close collaboration and cooperation with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software engineers to develop solutions with an emphasis on simplicity and time-to-market. Examples of Essential Functions Architect, design, develop, debug, deploy, and maintain electrical and electronic hardware for new and existing products Collaborate with multiple disciplines, including engineering, manufacturing, finance, and product management to design and develop high quality, highly reliable, easily maintainable hardwaresystems with an emphasis on simplicity and time-to-market Develop thorough design documentation Develop and execute test procedures Provide support for internal and external customers REQUIREMENTS BSEE or similar field is required Knowledge of electrical, electronic, electromagnetic engineering design principles and the physics behind them Skilled in analogdigital circuit design and analysis Knowledge of rechargeable battery technologies and power supply design is preferred Knowledge of low-power real-time embedded system design (MSP430, PIC a plus) Knowledge of digital communication hardware and protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, IrDA, USB, WiFi, RFID, TCPIP) Solid PCB design experience using Altium. Flex-PCB design experience a plus Encryption hardware experience a plus Machine Learning experience a plus Design for Manufacturability and Assembly experience. Proven track record of taking designs through manufacturing Proven track record launching mid volume (10K to 100K EAU) user friendly products from concept through product launch Experience developing IIoTIoT products is a plus RF circuit design and FCCIC experience is a plus Strong design and troubleshooting skills Ability to recommend and justify the purchase of tools and equipment Ability to prepare and verify detailed calculations, specifications, and analysis Experience developing electrical hardware in a cross-functional team Organize and participate in design reviews Knowledge of software development models and project management techniques is a plus Ability to successfully complete projectssub-projects within agreed upon deadlines Experience in Waterfall andor Agile NPD processes is a strong plus Kforce is an Equal OpportunityAffirmative Action Employer.
