What you will be doingThis role is responsible for the data and application architecture, solution delivery and strategic systems plans for all GPO internal, manufacturer, and member facing solutions. This lead role will interact with a variety of key stakeholders including executive leadership, business area management, process area leads and technical development teams to ensure the delivery of solutions that effectively meet evolving requirements.This is a cross functional position that requires insight into multiple business and technology domains. As such, the candidate must be a strong leader and demonstrate the ability to build collaboration and support across the enterprise. This role must effectively blend a core foundation rooted in technology and methodology with a broad understanding of the company's business objectives and future direction.Drives GPO data management and analytics vision and a connected data strategy to deliver common, secure, and consistent data capabilities across all Specialty GPO commercial segments.Serves as key member of GPO Solutions leadership team and works cross functionally across technical teams to support the successful implementation of digital GPO solutions.Leads the design and architecture of the short and long-term strategic solution roadmap across Specialty GPO divisions.Drives alignment of the technical direction and solution platform to the strategic roadmap.Ensures design, development, and delivery of solutions across technical towers to meet business requirements defined by process and functional teams.Oversees the quality of work performed by members of the team to ensure it delivers measurable business benefits and maintains product integrity.Assesses project requests to determine impact, cost, timeline, priority and recommended course of action.Manages people and resources (internal and 3rd party) in a matrixed organization against an established plan.Supports the development and delivery of training assets.Supports the deployment of production systems and provides post-production support.Helps develop and maintain intellectual property, best practices, templates, and reusable assets.Performs related duties as assigned.What your background should look likeMust possess at least ten (10) years of technology experience in a business aligned position and at least five (5) years in a senior leadership roleA demonstrated an ability to manage strategic programs, develop strong business relationships, drive innovation, and establish best practicesA minimum of a four-year degree is required, and an advanced degree is preferredAbility to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques in a highly-complex environment using leading-edge technologyStrong presentation skills; ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes understanding for technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to establish strong relationships with those necessary to accomplish the key objectives of the role with diplomacy, perseverance, and flexibilityAbility to work with all levels of clients in a highly dynamic environmentExceptional organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated history of strong leadership and ability to motivate teams in achieving shared objectivesAbility to resolve interpersonal and interdepartmental conflicts, coordinate solutions to critical problems, and ensure completion of planned deliverablesFamiliarity with industry standards, key company strategies, and corresponding technology roadmapDomain Expertise:Expert within the technical components of the domains/products/journeysExcellent coding and scripting skills (SQL, Python, PySpark) and experience with implementing high-scale cloud architectures using modern, cloud-based container platforms (PaaS/SaaS)Working knowledge of deployment automation solutions (i.e.TFS/DevOps)Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Databricks) and cluster management tools like KubernetesExperience with containers such as Docker, OpenShift and continuous integration and related tools such as Jenkins, Hudson, Maven, Ant, Git, Sonar, etc.Agile/Digital Experience:Experience in Agile Development, with specific Solution Architect (or similar) experience preferredExperience as a DevOps or SRE Lead on a cross-functional agile teamUnderstands relationship with Product Owner, Scrum Master, Design Lead and rest of technical team.Experience managing technical priorities within the Backlog#LI-REMOTEWhat AmerisourceBergen offersWe offer competitive total rewards compensation.
