Senior Director of Global Benefits

As the Senior Director of Global Benefits, you will be at the forefront of designing and driving HubSpot's benefits strategy globally, ensuring alignment with our organizational goals and industry standards. This role requires a deep knowledge of industry practices, the ability to manage complex benefits programs, and a strong capability to collaborate cross-functionally across the organization

Reporting to the Vice President of Total Rewards, this leader will define the strategic direction for global benefits that aligns with HubSpot’s vision and transform complex challenges into clear, strategic initiatives that drive large-scale, measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities in this role include:

  • Benefits Program Management: Oversee and continuously improve the design, implementation, and administration of all employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and wellness initiatives. Ensure that these programs are competitive, compliant, and meet the diverse needs of HubSpot’s global workforce.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and manage relationships with external brokers, insurance carriers, and other benefits vendors. Negotiate contracts and optimize service delivery and costs, leveraging industry expertise to get the best outcomes for HubSpot and its employees.
  • Industry Expertise: Serve as HubSpot’s internal expert on global benefits, staying current with industry trends and regulatory changes. Use this expertise to inform strategies that support business objectives and employee satisfaction.
  • Collaboration and Cross-Functional Leadership: Work collaboratively with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless integration and execution of benefits programs. Utilize company-first leadership to break down silos and foster collaboration to move organizational objectives forward.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data and analytics to assess the effectiveness of benefit programs and make evidence-based decisions. Track key performance indicators to monitor benefits performance and make informed improvements.
  • Cultural Leadership: Inspire and shape an engaged and motivated departmental culture that aligns with HubSpot’s strategic goals. Lead by example in making strategic decisions and trade-offs, and champion a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Communication and Education: Develop communication strategies to ensure that employees understand and engage with their benefits. Provide education and support to help employees maximize the value of their benefits.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure all benefits programs comply with legal requirements in various geographies where HubSpot operates. Oversee audits and reporting to maintain compliance and address any issues promptly.

We are looking for people who have:

  • Proven experience as a senior-level executive in global benefits management, including strategic leadership and program management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex benefits programs and working with external vendors and brokers.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with experience in developing and managing high-performing teams.
  • Strong decision-making abilities and a strategic mindset to drive and support organizational change.
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to clearly convey complex strategies to diverse audiences.
  • Experience leading transformational initiatives and aligning teams with organizational objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data-driven decision making to evaluate benefits plans and performance.

Cash compensation range: 223100-357000 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
