Job Description

As a senior member of the digital marketing team responsible for the overall development of the capability, the individual will be:

  • Leading a team of Digital Managers, Senior Associates and Associates to deliver marketing activity, campaigns and projects for the business
  • Playing an important role in managing their agency relationships, in particular with their media agency.
  • Build deep relationships with social platforms such as LinkedIn and building new relationships where they need greater partnership ie. Twitter and Instagram
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing leaders on a portfolio of campaigns and projects creating brand awareness, engagement and lead generation activities, along with the capacity of building projects
  • Developing channel strategies in conjunction with our Corporate Affairs team, with a focus on the website and corporate social
  • Shaping and driving the reporting and insights into their channels, including sales data in their Salesforce CRM platform, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Analytics and media agency reports
  • Spotting new opportunities and trends and building business cases for new digital tools, technologies and methods that they may wish to pilot
  • Advising marketing teams on digital best practice
  • Taking ownership for what goes out over their digital channels to protect the reputation of the firm and enhance the client experiences
  • Developing their digital marketing processes and channels to make sure they are GDPR compliant and liaising with the legal and risk teams
  • Identifying digital skills gaps in the team and helping to fill those through bringing in new recruits or by identifying training for the team.

Key capabilities the individual would need include:

  • A passion for digital marketing and a curiosity to learn new things and challenge ways of working
  • A mindset that demonstrates comfort with testing, learning and optimising
  • Team management experience and an ability to motivate and inspire teams
  • Experience of Marketing Automation systems would be advantageous, in particular, Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Proven digital marketing experience across channels with a focus on email, social, web and advertising, alongside experience of measuring and analysing data to build a picture of performance and ROI
  • Clear communication skills to help lead a multidisciplinary team and agencies to deliver to briefs
  • Experience of working in complex, matrix organisations would be helpful, along with evidence of managing varied stakeholder groups
  • Strong influencing skills to challenge the status quo.
