The Senior Data Scientist role is a core technical role within Acxiom. The purpose of the role is to provide audience insights for clients leveraging client data assets and media partner exposure data. This role is responsible for facilitating online & offline marketing effectiveness, enabling the client to optimize their media spend, and measuring their business performance by way of statistical analysis. The role will also have responsibility for performing adhoc analytical analysis to answer critical marketing effectiveness questions for the client.
**What You Will Do:**
+ For media campaigns: Interpret data, analyze results, and identify trends using statistical techniques and provide ongoing insights/measurement reports.
+ collection & preparation, quality control and delivering accurate/timely insights.
+ Manage the execution and keep track of all scheduled project tasks. Investigate any issues and escalate if deadlines are at risk of delay.
+ Work closely with Data & Tech teams to collaborate on data infrastructure and process.
+ Proactively engage leaders across the business to build a data science profile and identify new business opportunities.
+ Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs
+ Evaluate and refine processes for continued efficiency improvements.
**What You Will Have:**
+ 4+ years proven experience as a data scientist.
+ Experience using statistical programming languages, libraries, or packages for analyzing large datasets. E.g., R, Python, SPSS.
+ Experience with large data sets, specifically web traffic (clickstream) and third-party demographic data.
+ Experience with data interrogation, manipulation and extraction using SQL/R/Python applied to large databases.
+ Experience with Media Analytics.
+ Experience visualizing, presenting data and building dashboards using Tableau is desirable.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Experience with data modelling techniques such as multiple linear regression, classification, segmentation etc.
+ Experience with Machine Learning
+ Proactive, self-learning and confident.
+ Ability to project manage and prioritize against multiple deadlines.
+ Ability to work within a team environment is essential.
+ BS in Mathematics, Economics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics.
