The Enterprise Manufacturing analytics and BI team at Georgia Pacific creates value by creating an enterprise capability around highly available information that is accessible, consistent and visual to all manufacturing users so that they can make real-time decisions. This role will help support, maintain and create new solutions to advance manufacturing analytics as we transform to AWS cloud based capabilities. What You Will Do In Your RoleA strong performer in this role will effectively apply our culture and MBM® management philosophy to excel at:Develop OLAP Cube and Data Transformation solutions.Build and automate data feeds from source systems like MES, PI and other historian systems across GP to the data lake.Daily support of the data transformation and aggregation jobs which includes monitoring of ELT jobsDocument requirements and create system specifications as well as documentation of code.Work directly with stakeholders to analyze requirements, design solutions and use available data to generate reports and metrics.Proven success in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe data modeling decisions and data engineering strategy The Experience You Will BringRequirements:5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role3+ years of Data Analytics and transformation using SSIS and SSAS.Data engineering concepts (ETL, data warehousing, near-/real-time streaming, data structures, metadata and workflow management)Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelinesExperience with queries and scripting for data mining (using SQL, .NET or Python and/or SSAS) What Will Put You Ahead2 years of development in AWS cloud databases (RDS, Red Shift, Aurora, Postgres, and/or Microsoft SQL)Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or 10+ years industry experienceKnowledge of cloud deployments of BI solutions including use of the AWS eco-system.Experience with analytics tools and concepts such as Data warehouses, Data lakes, Hana, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Tableau, Alteryx, and/or PowerBIAbility to pull together complex and disparate data sources, warehouse those data sources and develop BI and analytical content, while operating in a fluid, rapidly changing data environmentExperience working with global teams across time zones Knowledge of GP organization and businessDemonstration of strong customer service skills/Customer FocusOur goal is for each employee, and their families, to live fulfilling and healthy lives.
