Job Description

Kforce client is seeking to hire a Senior Tax Associate in New York City, New York (NY). Summary: A large financial services company in NYC seeks a Senior Tax Associate. They can be fully remote or hybrid it's your choice. The candidate will be primarily responsible for the preparation and filing of the quarterly and annual tax provision for a publicly traded US multinational corporation and will be responsible for the outsource engagement review and filing of the Federal and State income tax returns. This position has opportunity for advancement along with a yearend bonus! Responsibilities include:
  • Senior Tax Associate will assist in the calculation of the consolidated and separate company quarterly and annual tax provision
  • Assistance with computation of current and deferred tax provision and liabilities
  • Assistance with the preparation of consolidated and separate entity tax footnotes
  • Assistance with reconciliation of all tax accounts and roll forwards
  • As a Senior Tax Associate, you will review federal and state tax returns to ensure accurate reporting and compliance (primarily forms 1120 and 1065)
  • Prepare provision to return true-up calculation upon filing of the tax returns
  • Prepare 1040-NR tax returns
  • Review federal and state Trust tax returns
  • Respond to tax department emails, process mail correspondences received
  • Prepare quarterly tax estimates at the federal and state level for the Corporate and Partner Level
  • Assist with the state and federal IRS audits
  • Help manage outsource engagement
  • Remain up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
