The Senior Business Development Manager plays a pivotal role in expanding our presence within the commercial real estate software market across Australia and New Zealand. This role is instrumental in driving growth of our commercial property management platform through strategic business development initiatives.
Success in this role hinges on the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders, creating a solid foundation for ongoing business expansion. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Senior Business Development Manager leads high-level negotiations and secures commercial deals, leveraging deep insights into market dynamics. A key responsibility is the ongoing evaluation and refinement of the business development approach, using market feedback and shifting business priorities to guide the company toward long-term growth and success.
YOU WILL:
- Own the full business development cycle; generate new leads from top ANZ commercial real estate agencies and manage inbound leads to close new business opportunities.
- Manage the opportunity funnel by analyzing and controlling pipeline activities using the provided software.
- Identify and execute cross-sale opportunities across the product and service suite.
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine a strategic business development plan to expand market share within the real estate software sector across ANZ.
- Identify and analyze market trends, client needs, and competitor strategies to adjust the business development approach.
- Lead efforts to target potential clients through market research, networking, and lead generation.
- Manage the entire client acquisition process from initial contact through negotiations to closing deals.
- Provide insights and feedback from client interactions and market analysis to develop effective marketing materials and sales strategies.
- Become an expert in the features, benefits, and applications of our products to effectively communicate their value.
- Offer product demonstrations and presentations to showcase our software's capabilities.
- Regularly report on sales activities, market trends, client feedback, and business development progress to senior management.
- Collaborate with internal teams—including product development, customer service, and technical support—to ensure cohesive business strategies and high client satisfaction.
- Stay informed about evolving trends in the real estate and software industries to keep business strategies relevant and effective.
- Regularly assess and refine business development processes and strategies for continuous improvement.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the brand and its products.
THE SKILL SET :
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the SaaS or PropTech industry
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of SaaS business models and current market trends
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
