Accounting at Brex
The Accounting team at Brex ensures we have perfect financial reporting, but even more so we serve as the testers of Brex’s financial products, providing analysis and feedback as the first users prior to product releases. We’re not only responsible for maintaining accurate books and records for financial reporting, but we’re deeply passionate about automation and partner closely with the engineering team to implement technological improvements.
What you’ll do
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial records and in developing scalable and sustainable processes as the business grows. In this capacity, you will be exposed to a variety of areas, including but not limited to Brex Business Accounts, Brex Card, and the Empower products, intercompany transactions, key controls, and more. You will work cross-functionally across the organization, collaborating with our Banking Operations, System Engineers, and Product teams. This cross-functional work will take place in a detail-oriented environment where creative problem-solving is highly valued.
The Senior Accountant is expected to manage multiple priorities concurrently without compromising quality. This includes, but is not limited to, leading cross-functional project work, overseeing reconciliations of the Brex Business Account customer activity, performing month-end close duties such as reconciliations, journal entries, and flux analysis, as well as preparing external regulatory reporting and assisting with external audit requests.

Compensation
The expected salary range for this role is $85,000 - $106,000. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
