RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT:

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.
• Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital.
• Create new internal accounting corporate policies and maintain existing policies
• Variance analysis
• Own corporate oversight of inventory accounting carried out by business units
• Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize
• Support the year-end financial audit and tax preparation process with external auditors
• Assist in providing information for external reporting
• Assist with stock-based compensation
• Report to management regarding the finances of establishment.
• Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED FOR THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

• BS degree in Accounting
• 3+yrs general accounting experience
• CPA
• Public accounting preferred, not required
