The Senior Accountant position plays a vital role in the accounting, tax, and finance aspects of the business and operations of the Company and its affiliated entities in multiple states in the Mid-Atlantic region. The work required to be performed in this position is eligible to be performed remotely, with the employee being expected to be available during normal business hours. The Company will provide a laptop and supplies for use in remote work, with the flexibility to work from the office when desired or when scheduled for in-person meetings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:Analyze and review general ledger activity Analyze and review monthly closing journal entriesPrepare monthly financial statements and related reports, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash FlowAssure the accuracy and timeliness of accounting records and data Assist in the preparation and development of the fiscal budgets and projectionsAssist in the production of cash reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, cost accounting, tax accounting, and financial statementsPerform on-site visits, including control reviews and inventory observationsCoordinate accounting and finance matters with other departmentsAssist in due diligence for loans with banks and other lenders, provide analysis and reporting of financial information for internal and lender review, and participate in the review of financing terms and conditions in selecting among financing optionsSupervisory Responsibilities:NoneEducation and/or Experience: S. in Accounting2-4 years of experience in public/private accounting CPA License a plusStrong oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work with people and promote teamworkStrong knowledge and understanding of cost accounting, finance, and taxesComputer Skills: General computer skills requiredProficiency in Excel requiredExperience with accounting software a plusZoom (or similar program used by Company) proficiency required for remote workWork Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
