About the team The Rentals business operates in a strong team-focused environment, working together to provide the best client experience in the industry. At all levels, we work hard, roll up our sleeves, dig in and get work done; resulting in a high quality, consistent, and world-class client experience. We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, and passionate Director of Sales who can help us exponentially grow the Rentals marketplace. This role will report to the Vice President of Rentals Sales and is responsible for the overall performance of the single-family sales organization, including driving sales productivity around new account prospecting by delivering a value proposition through various channels to lay the foundation for deep, meaningful, and long-term client partnerships. This role will be responsible for providing world-class mentorship and development to a team.

Specifically, the single-family Rental sales team works with owners and operators of rental properties throughout the US, helping to connect rental shoppers with the property they will next call home.

You Will Get To:
  • Own, develop, and lead all aspects of sales, sales strategy, and personnel development spanning every level of the single-family rentals sales org.

  • Focuses on implementation of consistent and high-quality sales output; excited to get into the details, roll up sleeves, and push improvement through ongoing iteration.

  • Monitor and continuously improve metrics focused on revenue, sales velocity and closing ratios.

  • Facilitate process standardization including, but not limited to, activity metrics, sales process, and operational cadence.

  • Collaborate with internal partners to shape and endorse the direction of supporting project initiatives.

  • Excellent at leading teams through change in a hyper-growth environment. Grow and develop a sales culture with a focus towards a growth mentality.

  • Effectively communicates ZG Rental's value proposition through presentations, industry events, executive meetings, and sales proposals.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. "Remote" employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.

Who you are
  • Proven sales leadership experience including implementation and ongoing management of goal setting, accountability metrics, and pipeline management.

  • Flexible, with the ability to lead large scale teams, cross-functional responsibilities, and priorities in a fast paced, growth-focused and time-critical environment

  • Proven track record to train sales teams on leading a complex sales process that may include multiple decision makers and influencers as well as transactional sales process that may include a single decision maker.

  • Ability to communicate, present, and influence multiple levels within an organization, including at the C-level with extraordinary communication skills, both oral and written.


  • 10+ years sales leadership experience - ideally across a range of sales & product environments, including organizations that combine a large outbound sales team with an outside sales team to drive growth.

  • You have significant experience leading multiple sales organizations of 20+ representatives and leaders.

  • The position requires 25-35% travel to meet with industry decision makers in corporate marketing as well as at divisional and national levels.
