The Ceilings Sales Associate collaborates with the Outside Sales Representatives and Regional Sales Managers to strategically generate leads, create quotes, and manage sales activities for assigned territory. The position applies extensive product, technical, and application expertise to promote USG ceilings and USG specialty products. Incumbents will be developed and trained for a future outside sales representative position.
Company headquarters are in Illinois. Candidate work location is flexible based on experience, skill, and ability.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborates with assigned sales representatives to manage key projects by supporting the coordination of specification efforts and documentations.
Supports the external sales rep in maximizing USG's short- and long-term growth in sales volume, gross profit and industry position, with a focus on the ceilings business.
For assigned accounts, develops relationships with architects, interior designers, spec writers, owners, construction managers, general contractors, sub-contractors, owners, and distributors to increase preference and demand for USG ceilings products and systems. a. Transactional customer responsibilities as assigned - These duties include but aren?t limited to: coordinating collateral, communicating pricing, working with the Quote Center and the RSM?s on turning around and pricing quotes and monitoring consumption, substitution requests and all other selling related functions including job follow-up and relationship development.
Coordinates, collaborates, and closes strategic events and opportunities.
Strong SFA presence.
Collects data on the following: a. Won/Lost rate b. Architects specifying USG products c. Local teams? response rate to requests d. Job Tracking e. Contractors f. Distributor
Creates targeted job lists for sales reps, distributors, and contractors by discipline (ACT, Ensemble, Specialty) from CRM.
Establishes a favorability rating among all customers.
