Research Assistant 100% Remote within California. Must reside in California We are seeking a Research Assistant to join FoundationCCC in its mission of benefitting, supporting, and enhancing the California Community Colleges—the largest and most diverse system of higher education in the nation. California Medicine Scholars Program (CMSP), which is a statewide partnership pathway that begins at community colleges to produce more underrepresented, primary care physicians and, in turn, reduce health disparities in California communities. The CMSP pathway includes regional, collaborative efforts organized by Regional Hubs of Healthcare Opportunity (RHHOs) and include community colleges, 4-year universities, schools of medicine, community health clinics, and community-based organizations. The Research Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting research and evaluation projects, activities, and efforts for the California Medicine Scholars Program. They will assist with qualitative data collection and analysis activities, working closely with the Research Manager, Associate Director, and Executive Director to conduct research that supports the improvement of the California Medicine Scholars Program. The Research Assistant will also contribute to the development of various documents, reports, and presentations. What You’ll Do The Research Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting research and evaluation projects, activities, and efforts for the California Medicine Scholars Program. They will assist with qualitative data collection and analysis activities, working closely with the Research Manager, Associate Director, and Executive Director to conduct research that supports the improvement of the California Medicine Scholars Program. The Research Assistant will also contribute to the development of various documents, reports, and presentations. Assist in student (and as necessary, regional hub staff) data collection, refining, data cleaning, coding and preparation. Help write, edit, and prepare documents, sections of reports, briefs, data tables, charts, and graphs using tools such as SPSS, Microsoft Excel, Canva and PowerPoint Support the team in preparing for IRB amendments and submissions, conducting literature reviews, managing information from internal databases, and gathering data from various sources (US Census Bureau, National Center for Education Statistics, California State Department of Education). Attributes For Success Familiarity with the California higher education systems. Proficient in APA style guidelines and formatting. A self-starter and quick learner who is highly motivated and outcome-oriented, always seeking innovative approaches to project execution.
