Job Description

Overview Now accepting applications from residents of the following states: New Mexico, North Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, Texas, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, Indiana, and West Virginia. Responsible for implementing Canon USA's Social Media (SM) strategy, managing engagement and interactivity on its SM properties, and fostering a SM community spirit. Coordinates with the Social Media Supervisor and team members to support the Canon SM mission, ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating a strong community around the brand. Responsibilities Moderate all community member's generated content, located on social networking sites including Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, Twitter, official Canon Forum, and other similar social media properties, in accordance with the Social Media Moderation Guidelines - Act as a 'Gatekeeper' on all Canon SM properties, exercising judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine the appropriateness of all posts, and taking action accordingly - Act as an advocate of the Company's brand in each SM community and as the advocate of the community within the Company, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate Qualifications A High School diploma is required - Knowledge and understanding of online community properties is a plus - Essential Skills: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to clearly read English - Strong organizational and time management skills - Capacity to analytically review and respond to SM property posts - Strengths in accuracy in responses, tech support, and reporting - Must be independently responsible with time, following instructions, reading all emails, and completion of assignments - Good understanding of your important role in protecting the company's brand on Canon's SM properties - Engage others with a positive attitude - Remain reliable and demonstrate teamwork to aid others in achieving a common goal(s) - Have a good knowledge of principles of customer service - Attendance is an essential function of the position Company Overview Canon Information Technology Services, Inc. - The environment at Canon ITS is energetic and diverse.
