We are seeking a Tax Senior Accountant to join our team. This position is responsible for supervising many phases of client projects under the direction of, and in consultation with, Managers and Partners, in an effort to ensure that quality service is provided in a timely, responsive and efficient manner. This role is responsible for supervising, reviewing, and assisting with training employees at the intern, staff and associate levels.

What you'll bring to the table:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related discipline as well as 5-7 years of comprehensive tax experience in a public accounting firm. CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
Minimum of one year of experience performing state tax returns
The ideal candidate will be a team player who has a desire to expand their accounting knowledge.
Self-driven, demonstrates initiative and able to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
Ability to positively and proactively manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office
High-level analytical and reasoning skills
Ability to manage and develop staff in a highly interactive environment
Exceptional client service and communication skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships
Solid communication and presentation skills
Skilled in supervision and training
Focus and dedication to client service
Knowledge of CCH Axcess Suite
Experience in Tax research
Help clients with tax decisions related to income and sales tax
Support multi-state companies with state and local tax compliance, including preparing or reviewing state tax filings
Assist in handling notices received from tax authorities
Document positions taken on state tax issues
