Job Description

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Remote Systems Software Programmer for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Jacksonville, FL

Responsibilities :
  • Define and discern key aspects of job scheduler tool problems that require analysis and research, and develops ESP integrated solutions within a broad technical and business context of significant or strategic impact to the enterprise.
  • Modify and/or debug job scheduler (CA ESP) utilities and packages.
  • Modify, install, and prepare technical documentation for system software process for ESP scheduler.
  • Take requirements to then build or transfer files, run executables, and move items into different domains.
  • Troubleshoot fail processes (i.e. termination lists).
  • Diagnose, isolate, and de-bug software problems and performs problem resolution on ESP scheduler.
  • Plan and execute disaster recovery procedures, and provides Tier 2 technical support for the job scheduler.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Required Skills :
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Knowledge of SFTP, FTPS, S3, SQL queries, and Web Service APIs.
  • Powershell, Windows Server, and UNIX
  • GoAnywhere application experience & CA ESP Mainframe w/Distributed Agents
  • Experience supporting applications through a job or application scheduler tool
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Powershell
  • Possesses a general understanding of systems programming, graphical user interfaces (GUI), and control languages.
Preferred Skills :
  • GoAnywhere application experience & CA ESP Mainframe w/Distributed Agents
  • Experience working with job scheduler tools such as CA ESP (CA7), Zeke, Zena, Control-M, or others highly preferred
  • Basic networking skills such as telnet, pings, trace route, etc.
  • Working knowledge with all platforms (Windows, Unix, Linux) and how they interact with a Mainframe platform
  • Experience with project management
