This is a posting to gather resumes for a position that will likely soon open at Andromeda Technology Solutions You are thinking about the day ahead. There are three scheduled remote appointments and your daily huddle on your board. Just another day for the seasoned ticket killer you have become. You notice the ticket queue is filling up...and one of the six remote techs is sick today. You get an MS Teams call from the service manager and an account manager. The account manager and the service manager look concerned but confident. Something has happened and you will be asked to jump in to save the day. "There is an issue that cannot wait to be resolved." the service manager tells you. "I need you to review SO XYZ123. "You know the drill," he says. "I will tell you what I know, go over any questions you have, and then be available once you are working." "No worries guys," you tell them. "I can do this all day."About youWho: An experienced IT professional, PCs, laptops, servers, routers; it is all the same to you. You live for the thrill of solving the big problem.What: A least 4-7 years of experience in an MSP or corporate environment. You do not mind the occasional password reset but you have a hunger for the big league ticketsWhen: Available to start sometime between now and the next 90 days.Where: Anywhere in the US with a solid Internet connection.How: Using your natural talents and years of experience you crush almost every ticket that comes across your desk. But you also have the communication skills and personality to handle the occasional emergency tickets with a frazzled client.Why: Reboot fixes are no longer interesting, you demonstrate that you can do more than the average tech.Your TeamYou would be a key member of a 10-12 person service department. You are a go-to-guy for these people. The primary team (Pod) consists of:1 Field TechsAnother Remote TechsAn Account ManagerThere are three such primary teams in the service department.And is supported by a full suite of support toolsRMMRemote Connection ToolsDocumentationA lead tech who can teach you a thing or twoYou are the direct report of the Director of Client Services, Tony, Tony is the direct report of the CEO, Jeff. (Soon you will be the direct report of a Service Manager who reports to Tony, who reports to Jeff)How you will contributeA day/week in the life looks like this:Working scheduled remote appointments for service tickets beyond break/fixHelping the other members of the team with tickets in a collaborative manner.The skills you will need: Advanced on Microsoft Server Operating Systems (2)Advanced on Microsoft Workstation Operating Systems (XP to Windows 10)Advanced on Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Adobe software (Tech Support)Advanced on hardware, software, and devices for layers 1, 2, and 3Advanced on dealing with the hot client when all the chips are downAdvanced on getting "stuff" done, always, rain or shine, no excuses, ALWAYSExperience with Microsoft Azure and Office 365The ability to read a service ticket that has worked on and quickly and see what is yet to be triedAbout Us:Who: We are a 25-year old technology service company.
