As a *Senior HR Specialist*, you will be responsible for all leave operations including implementation, administration, and communication of the Company's leaves. The Leave of Absence Specialist will ensure that plans are administered consistent with company objectives and strategy. This is a remote position that can be located anywhere in North America. *Responsibilities: * * Manage and follow each step of the employee's leave of absence. Acts as liaison between employee and employer and ensures that proper paperwork is completed by both parties. Provide regular status reports on active cases to all stakeholders * Communicate with managers on status of leave and accommodations and provides updates regarding return-to-work plans * Facilitate issue resolution with manager, employee, HR Business Partners and Legal as needed * Maintain proper documentation on all manager and employee interactions related to cases * Verify employee HR system and payroll records are updated appropriately. Perform audits to ensure HR system and payroll leave information is correct and reconciled * Remain current on federal, state, and local law requirements relating to leaves of absence and accommodations to ensure regulatory compliance of all leave programs * Maintain knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements impacting absences - including disability and discrimination laws - and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and other government requirements and standards (FMLA, ADAAA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, etc.) * Protect employee data and complies with all data privacy processes and regulations * Work with Benefits Manager and colleagues to agree, create, document, and adhere to a high-level global framework for consistent tracking of leave cases * Work with employees, payroll, and third-party benefits administration vendor in collection of benefits premiums while employees are out on unpaid leave. Monitors benefits repayments and terminates benefits when appropriate for failure to pay * Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements *Required Qualifications: * * High School Diploma or GED equivalent * Minimum 4 years of experience in an HR environment * Minimum 2 years of experience administering leave of absence benefits and accommodation requests *Preferred Qualifications: * * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university * PHR/SPHR certification * Working knowledge of FMLA, ADAAA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, etc. as they relate to absences * Experience in a shared service environment * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Strong attention to detail * Collaborative attitude and ability to work within a team * Values a diverse and inclusive work environment *Compensation Range* The compensation range for this position is based on experience and location.
