Job Description

SJR Project Managers - Social Media are self-starters who thrive on the contagious energy of teamwork and creation. Our Project Managers are talented all-rounders, equal parts project manager, creative problem-solver and team coordinator. They have a passion for multimedia storytelling and get a kick out of making sure details are airtight while not neglecting the creative thinking. They work closely with client services and creative to keep our projects on track and moving. They ensure each assignment is resourced in an accurate and timely manner, matching skills to confirmed requirements to achieve high utilization across teams and meet agreed deadlines. In short, they make things happen. As part of our accomplished creative force, the Project Managers is responsible for upholding the highest creative design standards and setting the tone for the overall experience of working with SJR. Responsibilities Traffic + Project Management (90%) Coordinates and manages internal creative resources to ensure the flawless execution of projects on time and within scope and budget: Actively participates in the definition of project scope and objectives alongside Client Services to ensure technical feasibility as required Acts as a direct liaison between the client and social team to ensure all teams are aware of project requirements, resources and deadlines to avoid delays Demonstrates a clear understanding of briefs and clarifies specific requirements of each project Understands skill sets of the Creative team and capabilities of each creator Manages and allocates internal resources based on project requirements and availability Develops a detailed timeline/plan to monitor and oversees progress of creative output Works closely with Client Services to manage changes to scope, deadlines and additional costs (freelancers, out of pocket, etc.) Ensures team meets scope deliverables and deadlines Implements risk management to minimize project risks, including overall project and timeline feasibility Plays a key role in the creative process from kick-off to delivery and keeps teams up to speed via Trello or other web-based applications Uses appropriate applications and software to accurately project planning and resource allocation Demonstrates problem-solving skills when dealing with client feedback and/or project constraints; provides input and escalates as necessary Manages time and workflow efficiently - takes responsibility for deadlines and delivery, flags potential issues early, works with the wider team to identify solutions Works independently with speed and efficiency Growth + Business Development (10%) Supports pitch development and presentations by managing necessary Creative team resources as required Supports Client Services team with client expansion opportunities through ideation, concepting and developing supporting creative Identifies opportunities to improve agency's creative design capabilities, whether through creative solutions or development processes Qualifications Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a project manager in for social media creative environment, ideally agency-based Proven ability to be meticulous, organized, technical, and creative at the same time Flexible, adaptable and responsive when quick turnarounds are required Experience using collaborative team communication and project management applications like Trello, MS Teams & Slack is preferable Ambitious with a strong willingness to learn and a commitment to continuous improvement Demonstrated ability of creative and innovative thought processes Outstanding verbal and written skills - able to deliver written materials error-free, grammatically correct and on-time Experienced time management and project coordination skills to support multiple work streams and ensure delivery of high-quality work on tight deadlines Ability to listen effectively, document proceedings accurately, drive and support ongoing dialogue Ability to work independently and under close direction Ability to connect and collaborate with a wide variety of people, an interdisciplinary team Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications and MacOS Keynote Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Premier) a plus Apply for This Job
