Job Description

REMOTE Project Management Assistant

We are currently seeking a Project Management Assistant for a 12+ months (strong possibility for extensions) contractual opportunity with our client in Corning, NY. The qualified candidate will integrate and deliver project management outputs within an engineering group that leads, capital projects, new technology migrations and new process developments worldwide. You will effectively work, interface and communicate within the project, engineering, division and plant teams worldwide; and help the project team execute and deliver solutions to technically complex problems within equipment, construction and quality areas for display.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop project plans, status reports, governance reports, presentations, agendas, etc.
  • Develop project scopes, estimates, schedules and AR budget documentation
  • Provide facilitation services to support the project teams in achieving results
  • Effectively follow through and help drive completion of project deliverables and action items
  • Effectively listen and communicate utilizing multiple channels and means
  • Build and maintain effective relationships within the project team and organization
This is a 40+ hours position with flexible schedule, weekly evening meetings required.

Required Skills

  • BA/BS Degree in Business, Communications or related field.
  • Must bring 3-5 years of professional work experience in project planning and scheduling experience
  • Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) and Project Management Professional (PMP) is highly desired
  • Preferably problem solving skills and the use of structured methods; such as, K-T (DA, PPA, RA), DESGN & DMAIC
  • Proven experience in working on and supporting project management to deliver project requirements
  • Project estimating and cost control experience
  • Positive attitude, strong commitment and work ethic
  • Very Strong in PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project is a must
  • Must have proficiency in Box, SharePoint and collaborative workspace environments
  • Strong communication skills including clear and concise written presentations
