Remote - National Catering Sales Manager
The National Sales Manager is the Regional Catering Sales Leader in their assigned territory. Responsible for meeting the set sales targets through their team as well as his/her own efforts. Meets or exceeds National Sales Targets while maintaining profitability. Leads their team to performance in their assigned markets while strategically managing them to uncover National Account opportunities. Builds partnerships with operators in their assigned region as well as Nationwide and is a leader in promoting off premise sales as a key driver of revenue and overall profitability.
Meets/exceeds annual sales targets through the development and execution of the sales strategy for National Accounts as well as their assigned Catering markets.
Builds relationships with existing National Accounts and guests to maintain and grow YOY sales.
Consistently maintains an active pipeline of prospects that is aligned with his/her sales targets. Provides weekly reports/updates of pipeline to peers and Director.
Owns guest satisfaction by following up internally with operators to ensure proper execution of National Account orders.
Fosters team cooperation amongst National Catering Sales Leaders to move the Catering Department forward through joint efforts.
Leads, trains, coaches, and develops a team of up to 6 Catering Sales Managers. Provides guidance and follow up to ensure each Sales Manager is executing the proper sales plan for their market.
Manages team to performance, to meet and exceed sales targets. Consistently guides the team to efficiently seek to uncover National Account potential with every interaction.
Holds regular 1:1 calls/meetings with each team member to provide ongoing guidance and focus on employee's personal development plans.
Trains new Catering Sales Managers. Identifies training opportunities within existing team and timely addresses them.
Uses the CRM tool to document all National Account activity and guest interactions. Regularly reviews team's CRM activity to provide guidance and ensure they maximize their opportunities with each guest interaction.
Produces weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to highlight teams' successes and identify opportunities.
Efficiently plans travel to meet prospects and team as needed.
Ensures team is accountable to the operations teams by providing regular updates of their sales focus, as well as building a team culture between sales and operations.
Participates in Operations meetings/conference calls with DO's and ROD's to provide catering updates, ensure alignment and build partnerships.
Adheres to budgets and efficiently uses company resources such as travel expenses, promotional food tastings and client rewards. Works to maximize ROI and ensure significant positive impact on overall business goals. Directs his/her team to be able to do the same.
Advises leadership on situational awareness of market revenue challenges.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of 5 years in B2B sales is required, with a preferred experience of 3 + years in catering B2B sales.
2+ years' experience directly managing a B2B sales team of 3 or more.
Experience working remotely including managing a sales team, will be strongly favored.
Past restaurant industry experience at the sales or corporate level will be strongly preferred.
Occasional travel for team and client meetings required.

Compensation Range: $64,000.00 - $88,000.00
