As the Director of National Accounts you will combine multiple attributes such as sales, contract management, business development, and marketing skills to develop and manage relationships and execute business strategy with assigned accounts; including but not limited to Healthcare Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), regional collaboratives, aggregation groups and (or) health systems. The successful Director of National Accounts will drive sales growth, develop account strategies, manage executive relationships, and improve overall customer satisfaction of their assigned accounts. The role requires the successful individual to act as the Vyaire Medical single point of contact for our portfolio and franchises to their assigned accounts. The National Accounts Director will need to leverage our internal sales, marketing, commercial operations, leadership teams, GPO contracts and account relationships, to drive profitable and strategic growth within assigned accounts. You can expect to:

Essential Functions:

  • Effectively engage with assigned accounts to exceed sales quota and increase profitability.

  • Execute assigned accounts business strategy in partnership with sales, marketing and commercial operation leaders.

  • Manage, coordinate and be accountable for price and contract negotiations.

  • Maximize value of our partnership agreements through driving contract compliance, building programs, educating internal teams, and acting as a resource and conduit between the sales teams and assigned accounts.

  • Uses a high level of financial and business acumen to assess and cultivate new business and leveraged business opportunities via GPO contracts that can influence end customers.

  • Provide feedback to internal teams around customer value proposition, competitive landscape, and other market dynamics to continually improve partnerships and drive growth.

  • Ensure contracts deliver expected financial value over the Long-Range Plan.

  • Develop and manage relationships with key decision makers at assigned accounts, industry influencers and stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate a broad comprehension of the customer's needs, market trends, industry challenges, major players, relevant products and technologies.

  • Establish and maintain strategic partnership communications and requirements ensuring solutions meet needs and goals of the customer and Vyaire.

  • Qualifications:

  • Between 7-10 years' experience preferred - (at least 5 years required) specifically calling on, managing and negotiating contracts with Healthcare GPOs.

  • Sales experience in the healthcare industry is required. Respiratory field is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of health system customer base and business environment including experience with multiple, large, complex healthcare national accounts.

  • Ability to assess, analyze and condense complex data or situation trends, issues and opportunities for actions and responses; and deliver complex information and to engage people behind strategies and decisions.

  • Experience in navigating complex hierarchies and complicated internal relationships at large healthcare systems.

  • Demonstrated consistent track record in exceeding sales targets.

  • Strategic thinking, planning, and execution skills.

  • Self-starter, ability to perform effectively during times of ambiguity, rapid change and growth.

  • Subject matter expert in health care, health systems, and technology.

  • Ability to travel to customer locations as necessary (approximately 40% travel).
