Responsibilities:Underwrite purchases, refinances and pre approval requests - Both Conventional and Government loansAnalyze loan documents (credit reports, income documentation, tax returns, assets, appraisal reports, title reports, insurance documents, fraud prevention products, purchase contract, etc) for accuracy and completeness and deliver valid credit decisionsMust be detailed in loan approval rationale including income and asset calculations clearly notedConduct timely review and clearing of conditions/stipulations on files returned for reviewProvide timely and thorough responses to individual pre funding audits, investor audits and Review Desk responses to declinesMaintain company turn time expectationsMaintain current level of knowledge on all requirements by consistently researching and reviewing the applicable guidelines, program updates, credit overlays and changesRequirements:DE/LAPP CertificationRequires a minimum of 3-5 years recent frontline mortgage underwriting experienceMust be familiar with Desktop UnderwriterUnderstanding of mortgage auditing and quality control processStrong credit, risk analysis and analytical skillsAbility to multi-task and must be detail orientedTeam player with excellent customer service skillsAmeriSave is an equal opportunity employer.
