REMOTE Java/Scala Developer

An employer is looking for a remote Java/Scala Developer to support the clients world headquarters in Portland, Oregon. As a part of the Marketing Technology organization, you will own the decision piece behind the clients main targeted marketing platform. Any event which is marketing to their consumers goes through this platform! This application is built with Scala but will eventually be converted to Java over the next few years. You will work on a team of 7 developers to do end to end development in a DevOps environment. You day to day can include anything from high level design for new features/capabilities, writing code for those features/capabilities, writing unit tests, deployment and production support. Minimum Requirements- 1+ year of Scala development experience or a heavy Java background- 1+ year of experience working with AWS (specifically using S3, SQS, and SNS)- 5+ years within a development background- Experience supporting a DevOps environment from design to production support Desired Skills- Experience with Kubernetes or Docker
