Job Title: Google Cloud Platform Cloud Engineer Duration: 18 Months Location: Austin TX/ Remote
Job Description:

Work closely with architects and engineers to understand and build requirements for solutions in Google Cloud Platform

  • Understand the policies, standards, and processes for implementing solutions at Client, including (but not limited to) development platforms/tools, release processes, and secure code standards
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code (IAC) solutions for Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
  • Monitor, analyze, debug and optimize developed solutions
  • Operationalize developed solutions by documenting and training engineers on the structure and behavior of solutions to enable level 1 and 2 support where possible
  • Help support on premise and cloud-based solutions as needed via a 24x7 on-call rotation
  • Help research and evaluate new solutions that can add value to existing and future solutions.

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience ·

4-6+ years of experience as a cloud engineer with sound Knowledge of Google Cloud ·

Extended experience with IaC, PaC, automated single-click deployment, configuration management, production support ·

Proficiency in cloud-based DevOps practices, specifically in Terraform ·

Expertise in containerization with Docker/Kubernetes and orchestration tools Ansible/ SaltStack ·

Knowledge of Shell scripting, Python and GoLang ·

Skilled in system-level architecture (Linux or Windows) Good communication skills ·

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ·

Ability to write simple, effective, and scalable code ·

Strong knowledge of agile software development practices
