Job Description

Overview:
Fidelity National Title is seeking a product owner to join our Digital Solutions Team. This position will be focused upon developing digital experiences for home buyers and home sellers. Specifically, the role will oversee the various digital products that assist consumers in ther journey to completing their real estate closings. This position is a remote postion working from home.

Duties:
As a product owner, you should:

1. Own your area of the product by:

maintain vision and clarity for your product area(s) as it relates to the overal product vision and mission.

Ensure the right feature for the product is being built based off you understanding of the customer's needs/wants.

Build a deep understanding of all areas of your products and how they interact with the overall solution.

Be able to demo any feature of your product area to key stakeholders and or customers if needed.

Review and approve all software changes made by development teams for your product area.

Review or create product design (lo-fi and or hi-fi mockups) to ensure consistency for new features in your product area.

Involve yourself in all phases of the product development lifecycle for your area.

Work with management throughout the development cycle to provide status updates on key features/epic progress, for organization reporting purposes.

2. Understand your customber by:

Research and understand the needs of your target base.

Understand the basics of the title and escrow process.

Organize calls and other interactions with your customers to identify needs and problems as well as to validate feature requirements and intial designs.

Attend at least 1 customer onsite visit per year (as company travel policy permits)

Be the voice of the customer to the development teams.

3. Own your backlog:

Identify, maintain, improve, and prioritize product backlog items.

Rcommend when a feature of set of features is ready to ship, with a bias toward frequent delivery.

Hold backlog refinement with team no less than once a week.

Undertand and use core agile concepts for writing good stories and for splitting large stories.

Facilitate user story mapping exercises with your team when starting new features or quarterly planning.

Build and keep a backlog depth of stories that the follow the organizational DOR with a minimum of 2 sprints of work ahead of planning timelines.

Coordinate with product management and other key stakeholders to maintain a long-term product area plan.

Forecase feature release dates and socialize those with key stakeholders.

Work with customer-facing teams to understand impact of defects and prioritize to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.

Work with product manager, development team, and architecture to identify and prioritize ongoing maintenace work to minimize future issues and take advantage of technical advancements.

4. Guide and influcene your team by:

Motivate, lead, and support all members of your team.

Consistently reinforce product vision, customer goals, and the "why" to your team.

Embody and reinforce an agile mindset on your team by holding yourself and others accountable to maintaining agile methodologies. Call out inefficiencies, provide constructive feedback, and actively collaborate with all team members.

Exhibit leadership skills as part of a Scrum Team.

Be the liasion between the team and the product manager, stakeholders, end users, business, and customer.

Work with product manager to ensure clear visibility into the work of the team.

Know your team's velocity and optimize for efficiency.

Organize and lead team meetings and presentations.

Attend all team related events and ceremonies including but not limited to stand-up, backlog refinements, mid-sprint reviews, planning, sprint reviews, roadmap forecast and health check meetings.

Requirements:
Bachelor degree

Experience:
Must have 3+ years experience as a business analyst or product owner and 3+ years experience in the title and escrow, real estate, or residential mortgage industry.

Additional Information:
Consistently demonstrate a thorough understanding of customer requirements and offer suggestions to improve user experience.

Proficiency with writing acceptance criteria (both high-level description and BDD behavior).

Proficiency with Agile methodologies and participation in daily scrum and sprint planning meetings.

Proficiency with sprint management tools such as DevOps or Jira.

Excellent communication (verbal and written).

Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Receptive to feedback. Strong sense of awareness and responsibility to performing duties. Continuously seeks opportunities to improve.

Must be a problem-solver, detail-oriented, highly organized and results driven.
