Description:

Seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join a dynamic, cross-functional and collaborative environment in developing a new state-of-the-art medical device.

The device being developed involves many electro-mechanical sub-systems which provide an exciting opportunity for learning system dynamics and integration of the different technologies.

Responsibilities:

- Contribute to the design, development, and integration of the embedded software for a medical device on a combination of Linux based systems, RTOS, and bare metal in a networked environment

- Collaborate and work in a fast-paced cross-functional Agile team

- Develop software solutions based on detailed requirements

- Create professional documentation for work

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or related discipline preferred, or equivalent years of experience

- 10+ years working as a software engineer in a related field

- Experience and demonstrated strength in C++ software and Object-oriented design on Linux

- Strong Analytical and troubleshooting skills

- Strong familiarity with modern software development tools (Git, JIRA, CMake etc.) and Agile development process

- Highly motivated, self-disciplined, independent and results oriented

- Strong oral and written communication

Desired Skills

- Experience working on regulated medical device software and familiarity with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 62304)
