The Director, Global Process Lead - Record to Report will play a key leadership role in defining and driving end-to-end process optimization across the Record to Report (R2R) workstream.

Key to this role is your ability to think strategically, build cross-functional relationships, apply critical thinking skills and take initiatives to get results. You will partner with customers across the business to drive innovation and create structure to achieve our goals. You should also be able to articulate the value of your work to business partners and senior leaders across AIG. You will use your influence as a change agent to drive innovation and enable AIG Controllership to ultimately improve its scalability across Divisions/sites.

Your areas of impact:
  • Thru Project Nucleus, play a key leadership role to drive global deployment and adoption of an optimized end-to-end process within AIG
  • Lead the end-to-end process taxonomy for specific areas within Record to Report
  • Collaborate with the other Functions/Operation teams to ensure resources are properly trained on processes, policies, and systems whilst minimizing the requirement for customization as required
  • Use ERP's and R2R enabling technology (eg Blackline) roadmap and solutions to ensure optimal use of existing systems
  • Lead ongoing policy governance, training and compliance including identification of improvements to remedies deficiencies or improves the efficiency and effectiveness of the business processes
  • Build appropriate process to review and approve requested deviations thru Group Controllers and/or Chief Accounting Officer as needed
  • Support internal and external organizational reviews to uncover leading practices within the company and externally that can be used for collaborative success
  • Lead, develop, and complete transformation communications as needed thru partnership with the Change & Communications Team
  • 12 + years of experience in an analytical role, preferably in Accounting (including Public Accounting), within a large organization
  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree a plus
  • Experience leading teams, influencing colleagues, and generating broad consensus is a must
  • Strong technical, business and finance competence to develop effective partnerships with key partners and provide a strategic perspective in discussions and communications
  • Excellent decision-making abilities with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to convey sophisticated ideas in a strategic and concise fashion
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and resourceful in achieving success in the face of ambiguity while prioritizing multiple responsibilities

  • Proven ability to partner with key technology team members and external vendors on large technology implementations. Experience with large complex and cross organization projects
