Job Description

The Development Manager will be responsible for a team of 5-10+ developers, lead developers, architects, and test engineers. They will be part of daily Scrum stand up meetings, cross-team discussions regarding collaboration and roadblocks, guiding the team in their day to day, involvement in design discussions, providing feedback, and reviewing backlog. The goal is to align with the team by ensuring tasks are handled holistically and discussion is driven among peers. This manager will also be involved in the hiring process as the team expands. The manager will also be responsible for managing the team performance reviews, merits, and keeping up a strong team culture. They will need to help take ownership of projects and drive them to completion with the team.

Experience working on a digital transformation (taking legacy environment into modern environment) Experience with HR software Experience in SaaS industry Experience driving Design discussions with lead and senior-level developers Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
2+ years of experience managing a software development team
Experience managing a team of 5-10+
Previous background in software development
Experience working in an Agile environment
Experience managing team expectations, conducting 1-on-1 sessions, coaching and mentoring
Experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders, as well as leadership
Experiencing working to build a product through the entire SDLC - full ownership of a project from start to completion
Experience in performance management (performance reviews, managing performance issues etc)
