REMOTE - Applications Programmer

An employer is seeking Application Programmer to join a large technology company. This person will review, analyze and modify mainframe systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installation for large-scale mainframe systems. They will maintain and develop online and batch application programs. They'll be responsible for all security and compliance standards. They must be familiar with database concepts and data processing concepts. The application programmer must be a team player with strong communication skills. Minimum Requirements-5 years minimum required for REXX, z/VM, CMS PIPES, z/OS, DB2, RACF, and overall general mainframe knowledge-Recent experience with z/VM and MVS operating systems-Solid understanding of VM/CMS REXX Programming-Exposure to CMS pipeline and ISPF (panel development/ programming)-MVS JCL and MVS TSO experience-RACF Command and DIRMAINT experience Desired SkillsNetworking experience RCA (Root Cause Analysis) experience
