THE POSITION: 

The Skin Clique is seeking a dedicated and versatile Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic healthcare organization. This role plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth onboarding of new physicians and providers, maintaining compliance, fostering positive relationships with physicians, and managing various regulatory tasks. The Regulatory Compliance Specialist will be responsible for a wide range of responsibilities, from credentialing checks to regulatory compliance and new physician support. 

This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a profound understanding of healthcare regulatory compliance, and exceptional interpersonal skills. The Regulatory Compliance Specialist is instrumental in maintaining the organization's regulatory integrity, fostering positive physician relationships, and ensuring compliance with legal and administrative processes. 

  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Regulatory Information Management: 

  • Maintain and update regulatory information from diverse sources, including NPDB, applicants, and malpractice insurance companies. 
  • Ensure accurate records for all physicians and advanced practice providers. 

Provider and Physician Lifecycle Management: 

  • Support HR onboarding, including paperwork and license verification. 
  • Manage documentation and processes for new provider onboarding. 
  • Coordinate medical supervision and partnerships with supervising physicians. 
  • Handle DEA and state-level coordination for providers. 
  • Monitor and fulfill monthly supervision requirements. 
  • Interface with medical malpractice insurance during onboarding and offboarding. 

Physician Relationship Management: 

  • Foster enduring relationships with physicians for enhanced customer satisfaction. 
  • Provide ongoing support and address inquiries or concerns. 

State Compliance and Documentation: 

  • Develop and manage streamlined state registration and annual filing processes. 
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of documents for state regulatory compliance. 

Credentialing Oversight: 

  • Conduct regular credentialing checks to ensure compliance. 
  • Address and resolve discrepancies promptly. 

Compliance Assurance: 

  • Ensure adherence to applicable laws, rules, and procedures. 
  • Identify and rectify discrepancies in documentation and information. 

Credentialing Support: 

  • Assist physicians and providers throughout the credentialing process. 

Legal Compliance and Coordination: 

  • Ensure legal compliance with state laws. 
  • Collaborate with the legal team on tasks such as market research for new state regulations. 

State Tax and Insurance Compliance 

  • Partner with external vendors and the finance team to support state tax filing. 
  • Mediate between insurance carriers and the practice for medical malpractice coverage.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred. 
  • Proven experience in healthcare operations, compliance, and credentialing. 
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements and processes. 
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail. 
  • Knowledge of state tax regulations and medical malpractice insurance is a plus.
