We currently are seeking experienced Registered Nurse to support our Remote Pediatric Telecom Triage Call Center for our Kenmore, Boston practice. The Registered Nurse works collaboratively with a team of medical assistants and other advanced practice clinicians in a dynamic, collegial call center setting. Telephone calls can range from routine to emergent and may require interaction with an on-call MD. The RN has access to comprehensive patient information via our fully-integrated EMR system, Epic. Shift/hours will vary as needed covering evenings, weekends and holidays, all of which offer shift premiums in addition to hourly compensation.
Graduate of a State-approved school of nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Possess a current license to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty.
Skills and Experience
This role is not an entry level position; it requires experienced clinicians who can provide advice and reassurance for concerned parents calling during off shift hours. Minimum of 2 years direct Pediatric experience required and ambulatory experience is preferred. Strong triaging skills required. Excellent clear verbal communication skills and proficient writing skills required. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and EPIC. Strong computer skills required.
