Job Description

*This position can be located anywhere in the US, as it will include extensive travel.

As an Operations Support Manager, you will directly support a variety of tasks, special projects, disaster/emergency response, major job transitions, as directed by the Vice President of Business Performance & Operations Support.

Specific Duties and Essential Functions
  • Provide operational support for all operation within assigned Region
  • Support special projects, major job transitions and disaster / emergency responses
  • Act as Temporary Duty Operations Support Team Lead and liaison during special/emergency services, to include: creating and managing a TDY OST Roster, coordinating travel arrangements; arrange for and issue per diem cards; interface with station(s) involved
  • Assist with coordination for new business and operational startups
  • Develop, Implement, and Follow up on Action Plans when required
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while providing the best service possible to our customers
  • Interface with HQ departments on behalf of operational stations
  • Carry out other projects as directed by the Vice President of Business Performance & Operations Support
  • Identify, escalate and implement best practices across the region
  • Support operational excellence training for all offices in the region.

Required Experience
  • 5 years of management level experience, both office and operations, of multi-location Cargo, Distribution Center, or high volume freight warehousing desired. Air Freighter and Air Passenger experience strongly desired.
  • BA/ BS in Supply Chain, Management, Finance and or MBA / related masters strongly preferred.
