Experience in Database Dump and Load and Progress upgrades Experience in code deployment, compilation and trouble shooting of issues relating to it. Providing support to the Development Team. Should understand complex Unix scripts and be able to develop new scripts Installation and configuration experience of Progress Should be fully conversant in Unix Shell Scripting and should be proficient in writing shell scripts for database administration and monitoring. Knowledge of Progress 4GL queries is a plus. Security administration in OS Progress, user access definition, user access management, monitoring and maintaining security of the Production environments. Techno ndash Functional Good understanding of Sales distribution and Manufacturing modules. Good knowledge of PROGRESS 4 GL Version 10.x Analysis, design and development of applications using QAD and Progress Interact with business customers for basic new requirements and issue analysis. Regularly monitor all logged issues. Plan and prioritize workload among team members. Perform root cause analysis on issues in a large production environment. Assist in the development of work processes to ensure the proper and successful use of the applications. Write unit and system test plansspecifications and perform testing. Interact with project teams to ensure a smooth and successful transition to support after the deployment of new applications or new major versions and adhere to all stated company policies and processes.
