Job Description

Position Summary:We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.QA Engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics.Primary Accountabilities:Technical (100%)Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedbackCreate detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test casesEstimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activitiesIdentify, record, document thoroughly and track bugsPerform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolvedDevelop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needsLiaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirementsMonitor debugging process resultsInvestigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutionsTrack quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect countsStay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategiesRequired Qualification:3-5 years of proven work experience in software quality assuranceStrong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processesExperience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test casesHands-on experience with black box testingAny exposure to automated testing tools is desirableKnowledge of SQL is a mustPython basic knowledge is a plusExposed to JiraExperience working in an Agile/Scrum development processExperience with performance and/or security testing is a plusBS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject or equivalent professional experience in the fieldIndividual Competencies:Integrity: Gains the trust of others by taking responsibility for own actions and telling the truth.Teamwork: Builds relationships and works cooperatively with others, inside and outside the organization, to accomplish objectives to build and maintain mutually-beneficial partnerships, leverage information and achieve results.Adaptable: Responds to change with a willingness to learn new ways to accomplish work objectives with a positive attitude.Innovative: Ability to develop, sponsor, or support the introduction of new and improved methods, products, procedures or technologies.Curious: A desire to inquire and learn, to seek new knowledge and wisdom, and to listen to the contributions of others with a genuine interest to better self, the team, and the organization.Analytical and Critical Thinking: Ability to tackle a problem by using a logical, systematic, sequential approach.Problem Solving: Gathers and analyzes information to generate and evaluate potential solutions to problems, issues and challenges while weighing the accuracy and relevance of the facts, data and information.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the major job responsibilities (essential functions) of this job.
